To celebrate the opening of our new store in Hamburg we at L’Afrika have brought together a superb new collection of Ceramics. From the kilns at Ardmore in the Caversham Valley of Kwa Zulu Natal South Africa come the most brilliantly colourful and most professionally crafted ceramics. These beautiful pieces of art are creations of fantasy that the world renowned Ardmore artists are famous for. These local artists are extraordinary people from the Midlands of Kwa Zulu Natal, who are given training, materials, a studio and a guaranteed market for their work, under the guidance of the founder of Ardmore, Fee Halstead. The new ceramics brought into Germany by L’Afrika include, the Monkey Whale Rider - a fantasy of a Monkey riding through the ocean waves on the back of a Whale! One of the more exotic pieces is a very bright yellow Banana Bowl with two cute Monkeys sitting on opposite sides and enjoying the contemplation of so many Bananas! Then there is the Zebra Tureen a item of rich painted artwork that is so elegant it will make a statement of luxury and grace in the home, the zebra being the majestic carnival of the bush. The smaller items of the range include the Monkey Spoon rest, a Monkey lazing in repose, and a cheetah coin dish – all items that are so joyful to add to the home. Shop south african ceramics

The absolute ‘piece de resistance’ is the fabulous white pair of candle holders adawned with elephants and palm trees – this is a must see piece and will be a true heirloom and collectors item. The perfection that is the hallmark of Ardmore and the expression of beauty is remarkable in this pair of candleholders of the most beautiful design.
