True Ling Heather Honey collected from Calluna Vulgaris, the true ling heather, in the Norwegian Mountains. This is the honey for the true gourmands! We can promise it will be highly appreciated when hosting dinner parties with charcuterie or cheese platter, or maybe as a gift for the hosts.
True Ling Heather honey is raw - unheated and unfiltered. We only produce raw honey, because we want our honey to be the way nature made it for us.
True Ling Heather Honey
This honey is the True Ling Heather Honey from the flower Calluna Vulgaris. It must not be mistaken for the Heather Honey from the Erica flowers.
We take great effort and pride in finding the accurate location for our bees to collect the nectar for this honey. The area of course has to offer plenty of True Ling Heather, but it is also important that there aren’t other plants blooming at the same time as the True Ling Heather. That’s how we can provide this honey with such a strong, pungent flavour of the True Ling Heather.
Where we sell our honey
Most of our honey is sold to the Norwegian Honey Co-Op and the local market. For the local market we also produce and sell beeswax candles.
Next to the local market, we are so lucky to have quite a few customers from France and the US. Our international customers prefer the Ling Heather Honey first of all, but also our Autumn Honey is very popular.
We opened our international website, together with Facebook and Instagram accounts, during spring 2022. Until then our international sales took place on eBay and email.
Where our honey originates from
We produce all our honey ourselves. This is the only way we feel comfortable offering a quality product to our customers. Heathers Organic Honey
All our honey is harvested from apiaries either in the forest or at the edge of the forest. We do not have any apiaries in the proximity to heavy farmlands.
The last years we have been producing three different kinds of honey. It is the combination time of year and location that determines the outcome of the honey.
